Gisella Rose is an award-winning author, ancestral alchemist, genealogist, artist, and embodiment guide whose work lives at the intersection of lineage, astrology, and the body. She is the founder of SOMAmagical, a body of work devoted to embodied remembrance and ancestral connection through lived, tangible practice.

Her approach weaves together genealogy, somatic and medical astrology, elemental exploration, movement, meditation, and ritual. Rooted in the tantric sense of weaving, her work brings together multiple threads including ancestral memory, creative expression, and embodied awareness, recognizing that inheritance is not only familial, but elemental, carried through the body as part of our nature.

Astrology was first introduced to Gisella Rose by her mother in childhood, forming an early foundation for understanding pattern, rhythm, and inheritance. Over time, this family transmission expanded through years of self-study, formal training, certification, and lived practice. Alongside astrology, she became a professional genealogist, developing a deep reverence for family history as both a tangible record and a living presence that continues to shape the present.

Gisella Rose’s embodied work is informed by a lifelong relationship with movement and performance. She began dancing at a young age and later spent over a decade as an international circus sideshow performer, known professionally as Gisella Rose, The Pain Proof Artiste. Her background also includes years working within body-based arts and ritual space, alongside training in yoga, energy work, meditation, and conscious and ecstatic dance.

A near-death experience in early childhood shaped her lifelong orientation toward liminal spaces, the places where memory, lineage, and presence meet. This experience continues to inform her work, giving it a distinctive quality of one foot in, one foot out, where the living and the dead, the seen and unseen, are held in respectful relationship.

Gisella Rose is the author of ELIXIR: A Journey into Ancestral Alchemology, a book that introduces her method of working with lineage through MoonTree Charts, elemental archetypes, and embodied ritual. Her work can be experienced through one-on-one sessions and longer-form offerings including Ancestral Alchemology, InBodying Astrology, Past Life Exploration, and Family Tree Research.

At the heart of everything she offers is a simple premise. Ancestral and astrological patterns are meant to be met through the body, felt through experience, and integrated into the way we live, create, and move forward.
